Welcome to our web site. The Simpson family is native to the 1000 Islands area. Our grandparents worked in many capacities for E.J. Noble while he owned and operated the Thousand Islands Club on Wellesley Island. Mr.Noble was perhaps best known as the inventor of the famous candy Lifesaver. Mike's grandfather, "Cub" Griffin, learned to navigate the St. Lawrence River at the early age of nine. His prowess as a fishing guide was unmatched, and he later became one of the river's outstanding captains. Grandmother Griffin was pastry chef at many of the luxurious hotels that once lined the river's shore. She was also Chef at the White Father's Novitiate, Bonnie Castle, located at Alexandria Bay.
